In Memory of Master Tailor Nino Caldarone
It is with a heavy heart that the Custom Tailors & Designers Association remembers Master Tailor Nino Calderone of Custom Tailoring & Styling by Nino Caldarone in Ramsey, NJ who passed away unexpectedly yesterday.
Nino Caldarone made custom clothes for over forty years. He started his training as a young man in Montella, Italy and then continued his craft when he immigrated to the United States in 1954. Nino is well known in his field as a Master Tailor and has a fine reputation for quality workmanship and precise fitting for both men and woman. When he made custom clothing, he would create a pattern for each individual so they could be sure their custom garment fit properly.
A loyal and active member of the CTDA, Nino served as President of the CTDA from 2004 to 2005, during the Association’s 125th anniversary year. Nino was also a CTDA educator who taught the Blue Pencil and Fitting & Alterations courses. Nino received the CTDA’s Fashion Awards consistently from 2001 through 2005.
Nino is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Carol Caldarone, his seven loving children, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Also surviving is Nino’s mother, Maria Caldarone of Waldwick, NJ, his sister and two brothers.

Nino will be missed by the Industry he loved and all who knew him.
